We are happy to report that Crescent Park has been awarded the Forest Restoration & Wildfire Risk Mitigation (FRWRM) grant! FRWRM is a state sponsored grant that, along with previously awarded matching grants from Denver Water and Boulder County will total approximately $600,000 for fire mitigation work on 97 acres in Crescent Park this year. This project will be managed by the Colorado State Forest Service. The Crescent Park Community Fire Protection Association has agreed to contribute up to $15,000 in CSFS administrative costs and has asked community members to pledge contributions towards this goal. To date, 28 community members have pledged a total of $11,950 or 80% of our goal! If you have not pledged, we ask that you consider contributing to this very worthy project that will be the largest wildfire mitigation effort since the Crescent Park community was established over 60 years ago. More information will be forthcoming.
